Creativity and intelligence as always. Even after sometime away from blessing my senses with your work, I'm still smacked by the beauty of your intelligent word play.

Out of curiosity, what is the antecedent and import of the two quoted sentences at the last verse? I feel there's a story there that gives the piece a fuller meaning.

I'm also elated by your very generous assessment; it gives me pleasure to know I have served your word-palette quite well.

Regarding the last verse, the quotes were taken from two 'forced demolitions' of ego in history. The first is aeons old; from the very lips of Lucifer himself. We both know that his pride became his end. The second is from the men of ancient Babel. They deigned to build - out of line, and in defiance to forces they should really dread. Their venture ended up as an abandoned project.

In both cases, hubris was their undoing.
