The unravelling of sanity,
The deification of sanctimony.
We feel, therefore we must be -
It is unreasonable to defer to reason.
*
Beyond the reach of hubris
Indebted to none - not even destiny;
Tethered to nothing,
Unbounded by edges.
*
Upside down is how the world must be
Or right side up - who cares which it is?
After all, a globe spinning on its axis
Says nothing of an end or a beginning.
*
Our laws are our flaws
We must dismantle them all!
Order is the new chaos,
In anarchy shall a new humanity be born.
*
But there's to be no new humanity -
Just the old specie with an extra dash of cynicism
A snotty breed with an aggravated bout of folly
Humanity 2.0 - same as the old, just (twice?) as nasty
*
And so it implodes -
Up it goes in a noxious puff of smoke
Empty hopes of what the future holds,
A garden of roses over which the four horsemen rode.
*
"I will ascend..."
But it is to be the end
"Let us build..."
Alas, for it shall only reduce to rubble!

Well detailed and descriptively self-explanatory sir
Creativity and intelligence as always. Even after sometime away from blessing my senses with your work, I'm still smacked by the beauty of your intelligent word play.
Out of curiosity, what is the antecedent and import of the two quoted sentences at the last verse? I feel there's a story there that gives the piece a fuller meaning.
